Iced Pomegranate Rose Tea Recipe

In a land known for exotic tastes and flavors, pomegranate and rose are two of our favorite flavors from Turkey. Found everywhere from Turkish delight - a local candy served with Turkish red tea, to soap at the hammam - the bathhouse - the pomegranate and the rose are classic emblems of this entrancing country.

The pomegranate is a symbol of fertility, abundance, prosperity, and health. It is found in many local dishes, juiced into drinks, woven into textiles, and laid into tiles. Venerated not just as a delicacy, but celebrated in art and medicine since the 2nd Millenium BCE, the pomegranate was said to have spiritual properties and hold iconic significance to the Turks.

The rose symbolizes beauty, purity, and emotional healing and is found in Turkish culinary culture, poetry, and art. The fragrant petals make a delightful addition to tea and it's impossible to ignore their magical beauty that blesses both body and soul.


This recipe, made with clean and sweet organic Turkish-grown red tea, is meant to transport you to the sunny coastlines, the fertile valleys, and the swirling cities of Turkey - in a sip!

iced pomegranate rose tea recipe


You will need:

1 tsp Turkish Red Tea

1 tsp dried rose petals

Pinch of ground cardamom

4 oz hot water

1 Tbsp honey

4 oz pomegranate juice


to make:

1. Bring water to a boil.
2. Pour water over Turkish Red Tea, dried rose petals and cardamom. Steep for 5 minutes and then strain.
3. Add honey to the steeped tea and stir to combine. Pour the tea over ice and top with pomegranate juice.
4. Optionally garnish with rose petals and enjoy with Turkish delight for an afternoon escape!
