Iced Pomegranate Rose Tea Recipe

In a land known for exotic tastes and flavors, pomegranate and rose are two of our favorites flavors from Turkey. Found everywhere from Turkish delight - a local candy served with Turkish red tea, to soap at the hammam - the bathhouse - the pomegranate and the rose are classic emblems of this entrancing country.

The pomegranate is a symbol of fertility, abundance, prosperity and health. It is found in many local dishes, juiced into drinks, woven into textiles and laid into tiles. Venerated not just as a delicacy, but celebrated in art and medicine since the 2nd millenium BCE, the pomegranate was said to have spiritual properties and hold iconic significance to the Turks.
