From our Tea Blenders Box, this recipe is called “Energy” – an invigorating blend of Ceylon black tea and ginger – designed to bring vitality and strength.
Fatigue and listlessness can result from many sources. Certainly, chronic stress and a bustling, busy life can contribute. All the demands of today’s world can prompt stress eating – or stress drinking – and when our energy is low, we may not exercise adequately. We can easily become overrun, as well as run down and when we are not at our optimal level health-wise, we become more susceptible to illness.
Not only is black tea a non-sweetened or less-calorie drink, it also provides several health benefits because it contains powerful groups of polyphenols, micronutrients which come from plants, including thearubigins, found only in black tea. These polyphenols provide protection against the onset of several chronic disorders.
We know elevated cholesterol, high triglyceride level and obesity are directly associated with a number of cardiovascular disorders including heart attack, which are now considered as number one cause of death in all over the world. Studies have shown that drinking black tea on a regular basis helps to reduce the chances of onset of such disorders, and that drinking black tea also plays a key role in reducing body weight.
Our brisk, uplifting Ceylon Black Tea promotes strong bones and teeth, and one can readily detect a lemony flavor with hints of tannins, spice and cocoa. The addition of ginger lends a citrusy, somewhat tropical taste, and also imparts added anti-viral benefits, and helps to prevent disease and ease pain and aid digestion.
Ceylon is the old name for Sri Lanka, where tea was planted to replace the dying coffee industry in the late 1800s. Ceylon tea is known to be full flavored and quite drinkable on its own. However, it is also excellent as a breakfast tea with a splash of milk and bit of sugar.
"Every day, think as you wake up, today I am fortunate to be alive,
I have a precious human life, I am not going to waste it.
I am going to use all my energies to develop myself,
to expand my heart out to others;
to achieve enlightenment for the benefit of all beings."
