We are so excited to share with you a bit of holiday hygge with our Holiday Recipe Guide. There is nothing that embodies hygge to us more than a cozy cup of tea, a candle-lit dinner, and the comfort and relaxation of easy conversation with family and friends.
Growing up in Scandinavia part of the year gave me an understanding of cultivating moments of warmth and comfort, inside and out. The holidays especially are a time when everyone’s hearts and minds toward family, laughter and special memories. It’s what we call hygge. Hygge (pronounced ˈh(y)o͞oɡə) is a Danish word for a mood of coziness and comfortable conviviality with feelings of wellness and contentment.
We achieve this in a myriad of ways - through hand-knitted socks, cozy fires and blankets, a steaming cup of tea, soup, books, sweet treats, candles, etc. This recipe guide is designed to share with you recipes that bring comfort, joy and warmth into your holiday season.
We encourage you to brew some chai, mull some wine, bake some treats and then just enjoy yourself. See if you can surrender the need to get it all done, to make it "perfect" or to stress the details. Enjoy the moment in this cozy season of warmth and joy.
This Holiday Recipe Guide is our largest collection of recipes yet! With 18 recipes from places we’ve visited around the world, many feature tea as an ingredient and it adds a distinctive and interesting twist to some of your holiday favorites.
