Make It At Home: Indian Rose Garden

Written by Sarah Scarborough | Jun 14, 2020 6:17:00 PM

Remember that this tea is a full botanical blend and does not have any actual tea leaves in it. Because botanicals are gentle and delicate, you'll want to use more than you normally would to steep and let it steep a bit longer, allowing the full flavor notes of each ingredient to develop completely in the water. You'll want even more if you plan to add milk or honey.

Lastly, be careful not to use water that is too hot. Once your water comes to a boil, set it aside for about 5 minutes. Doing so is gentler on the botanicals and keeps from pulling the oils from the spearmint.

STEEPING DIRECTIONS
Steep 3 teaspoons (2g) of Indian Rose Garden in 1 cup (8oz) of 180° F water* for 4 minutes and strain.

Makes 1-2 infusions.

*For 180° F water, boil then let cool 3-5 minutes.
