The Nashville Tea Bar - Reopen!

Beginning on Saturday, July 18th, the Firepot Nomadic Tea Bar will reopen. With that comes some exciting new changes and one BIG announcement!

New Hours:

The Tea Bar will  be open Tuesday-Friday from 10am-2pm and on Saturdays from 8am-5pm. 

NEW MENU:

With so many tea options available, we'll be rotating our drink specials seasonally so that we can feature the best drinks for different times of the year.  You'll love our new summer menu featuring six of our favorite tea specials, along with our organic steeped teas and Rituals Collection. New Products:

You’ll notice some new and interesting aspects of the Tea Bar. In addition to the wide range of high-quality organic teas and delicious drinks, our tea bar has become an herbal pharmacy, an apothecary where you can also find herbals, tincture and other items to help you stay at your best, no matter what life throws at you. All designed for maximum cleanliness, social distancing and safety you can feel relaxed and comfortable that we’re just as interested in your health as you are.

Contactless Payment Options:

We will have a mobile ordering system for anyone who would like to do contactless payment. The tea bar will be accepting credit card payments only at this time, which can either be made through online ordering or in-person at the tea bar. 

Limited Occupancy:

We will be limiting occupancy to 3 customers inside the tea bar at once in order to maintain proper social distancing. All drinks will be served in takeaway cups. Guests are welcome to browse and purchase Firepot retail tea and teaware as well as items from the Caravan collection, however, we will not be offering indoor beverage service or seating at this time.

Masks Please:

As per the city-wide mandate, masks are required for staff and guests inside the tea bar. We will have some disposable masks available for those who arrive without a face covering. Hand sanitizer will be placed by the register, which will be sanitized between every transaction to ensure everyone's safety. Staff will also be sanitizing high-touch surfaces frequently throughout the day in addition to maintaining our usual high standards of cleanliness.

Laura Whitlock, our new Tea Bar Manager!

We invited Laura to share a little about herself so that you can feel comfortable saying hello when you call in or stop by in person. 

A Little About Laura:

I grew up in East TN and received my BA in International Studies from Maryville College and a Master of Management degree in Tourism Management from the University of Technology, Sydney. While living in Sydney I began to develop a love for yoga, so when I ended up in Nashville a few years down the road working for a luxury home exchange club, I met Sarah Scarborough through her tea flow yoga class, where my love for tea began! An avid traveler, I participated in Sarah's Ritual and Renewal Morocco retreat through Eat Pray Move back in February. I had at that stage moved to California to work as the Guest Experience Curator for a high-end winery in Sonoma County, however, the covid-19 shutdown resulted in industry-wide furloughs, which led me to seek to move back home to Nashville. I have been a fan and customer of Firepot for several years (all my home-brewed masala chai lattes certainly helped me survive the months of quarantine in California!) and I am absolutely thrilled and honored to be a part of the Firepot tribe now! 

I live in Nashville (one of my very favorite places on earth!) with my sweet pup Quinn, who's a very sassy Old English Bulldog/Norwegian Elkhound. My hobbies include spending time outdoors hiking and canoeing, hanging with friends at my favorite local restaurants and bars, cooking (especially during quarantine!), and experiencing different cultures both close to home and abroad as I seek to understand, appreciate, and share the beauty and diversity our world offers. 

My current favorites at Firepot are Iced Cardamom Matcha Lattes and hot Masala Chai Lattes. My first purchase from Firepot several years ago was Indian Rose Garden and it's still one of my favorite botanical blends for when I need a moment of serenity.

I am so excited to welcome old and new tea lovers alike back to Firepot very soon for our reopening! Stop by to say hi, enjoy a renewing cup of tea, and stock back up on your favorite blends to steep at home.
